Americaś Got Freedom
The goal that my group had going into this project was to teach the class about the Declaration of Independence in an entertaining and memorable way. Therefore, it made the most sense to us to create a rap battle between the US and Great Britain. In order to achieve this we spent the majority of our time working on the script and the lyrics. Once that was done, Caitlin made costumes and we decided when and where our project would be filmed. After school, on a Wednesday, we filmed our rap. IT TOOK 3 HOURS! I was exhausted that night because I still had homework to do as well. I thought that this project turned out extremely well. However, in the future I may cut down on some of the lines because it took a long time for some to remember all the lines that they had. Next time, I think that it would be better if the teams were given more memes to work with. (Iḿ sorry for this answer, I felt that this project went as smoothly as physically possible and I liked how it was put together.) My favorite part of this project was definitely writing the lyrics to the rap because we were using the entirety of our creative, collaborative efforts to put it together and it was really fun.
