About me
My name is Jared Austin and I am currently a junior at Edison High School. I now have three years of experience in the CIBACS program.
First a little bit more about me. I am seventeen years old going on thirty with an eccentric personality to say the least. A nerd since birth, I'm a hardcore Whovian as well as a fan of anime. I am also a Buddhist, but I prefer to say that I'm an agnostic Buddhist. I am also a vegetarian, mostly due to my religious affiliation as well as my compassion for life in all its forms. (Except plants I suppose.) I am passionate about creative writing, history, and foreign languages, of which I have been learning four and have become fluent in one. I can speak English and Spanish as well as some Russian, Esperanto, Japanese, and Mandarin. I hope to translate this passion into a career in interpretation or some field related to linguistics in the future.
When it comes to the world of business, as well as in all other ventures I partake in, I will always put in my best effort. And if by chance my best effort is not enough then I'll strive for greater. Using this mindset, I have achieved quite a lot in my life thus far. A few of my biggest accomplishments include: training in traditional Japanese karate, helping my team to victory during the Gateway Simulation last year, and traveling to Europe with some of my fellow cibacians.
